Saint-Clément-les-Places was formerly an annex of the parish of Longessaigne.

• The Church:

• It dates from the 19th century and neo-Romanesque.
• The four bells are still operated manually by the watchmaker at every event. He is also charged every two days to wind the clock has been restored.

• A station was almost built at the crossroads "Chevaleron" on the transition line railroad that would link Pontcharra-on-Turdine in Sainte-Foy-l'Argentière. The 1914-1918 war interrupted this project, but the plot line was maintained in City Hall.

• The Park Activities: Two buildings will certainly attract your attention at the entrance of the village.

• This is primarily an incubator of innovative companies, initiated in 1988 by the Community of Communes Chamousset Lyonnais in order to help future business leaders to finalize their projects, while encouraging them to settle on the canton.
• Next door, a Multimedia Experimental Center was built in 1995. It is freely available to the public and since 1999 it hosts the experimental services of the mission "new technology" of the Rhône General Council.

• The Pottery Festival: Every 1st weekend of July in even years. The Biennial includes thirty professional potters on the village square. Introduction to working the land and musical entertainment for all.
