Every first weekend of June: Feast of the estuary and the Marais.
The common thread these days is kept: to better understand our environment. This festival will enable all visitors to experience life in and around the estuary and marsh.
On the agenda this weekend: Great March of wearing Callonges to the heart of the celebration and tree planting; village wines and cuisine with an emphasis on organic exhibitors, tours of the marshes in a carriage Discover the fauna and flora; free evening Creole, night market, carriage rides, eco-riding citizen, bands, pony rides, trade show ... Sunday: carnival parade.
ATTRACTIONS, LEISURES AND ACTIVITES AROUND
Land birds
Situated within a swamp preserved land birds is one of the last great reed across the estuary of the Gironde. This habitat is home to rare birds and provide shelter for many insects, amphibians and mammals.
Eaglets, herons, storks, common snipe, over 110 species of birds, some very rare have been observed on the site. Alongside them, there are also rare and protected mammals such as the European mink or otter.
The site, which is scheduled to open in June 2010, will welcome the general public in a configuration where everyone can find happiness.
Two distinct and complementary areas: The first free, will allow visitors access to an observation tower 10 meters high, and the reception building / ticketing. Second, space charge, will consist of three trails staked ornithological observatory allows visitors a good familiarity with marsh birds.
