Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur, historic capital of the Champsaur valley, located in the Hautes-Alpes is one of the few medieval towns in the French Alps. Located on the Route Napoleon, on the border between the Dauphiné and Provence and adjacent to the Ecrins National Park, Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur shows a prestigious past and preserved for centuries its cultural heritage with fervor.

Each year the second Sunday of August, the village finds himself suddenly plunged back a century. All the people stand the costumes of their ancestors and organize events that delight thousands of visitors who come to join them within one day out of time. Firefighters to Mayor through the merchants and citizens, no inhabitant is missing one of the biggest festivals of the high Alps.

• A Benevento-and-Charbillac the hamlet of Auberi Pétètes the chapel is without doubt one of the strangest religious monuments of Champsaur. Built during the 1740s, a mason and carpenter, head of the innkeeper, Jacques Pascal, it owes its name to the naive statuettes of stone, Pétètes or dolls. Initially and until the early 20th century, this building was covered with thatch and stone walls left exposed. This building is a rare example of folk art is unique and historic monument. It resembles the rural sanctuaries in the same period.

• Every Tuesday afternoon from 14h to 16:30 (July and August), in collaboration with the tourism office of Pays de Saint-Bonnet, is given a guided tour to explore three treasures Heritage Champsaur. The appointment is set at 14h to the eco-museum "The farm's history" to Pisançon. Discover the lives of champsaurins early last century, irrigation, religion ... and temporary exhibitions.
