Town located 15 km north-west of Millau. Capital city of Canton of Castelnau-Pégayrols Commons, Montjaux, Viala-du-Tarn, Verrieres.

Located in the Regional Natural Park of Grands Causses, on the southern slopes of Mount Lévézou at an average altitude of 612 meters.

This village is situated on ancient Roman road that once linked to Rodez Millau. Today this medieval village is crossed by the GR62 which connects Meyrueis in Lozere at Conques in Aveyron.

We know the existence of the castle in 1082.

• Castle Saint-Beauzély 12th and 16th centuries (MHI). Museum of occupations of the stone and of rural life: more than 4000 objects and tools reflecting the extraordinary wealth of local heritage. You can find here the tools of master builders, the most famous of them, Deodat Alausí, built the cities of Larzac Templar in the 15th century.

• 220 km circuit of multi-hiking around the Lévézou, many trails in the country with sublime views (Millau Viaduct, Mount Seigne).
• Valley of the Muse: The Valley of the Muse has the distinction of having the largest concentration of historical monuments of the department of Aveyron. You must visit the ancient villages of sandstone St. Léons, Castelnau-Pégayrols, Montjaux.
• The surrounding mountains offer superb views and the top of Lévézou, Mount Seigne culminates at 1128 m, the orientation table provides 360 ° visibility well beyond the department of Aveyron.
