Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux is a commune of the Loire-Atlantique of 1557 inhabitants.

It is located 9 km west of Chateaubriand (D34), 60 km south of Rennes (N137/D772) and 65 km north of Nantes (N137).

The municipality is crossed by The Dear (tributary of the Vilaine).

The name of Sanctus Castellis Albinus was first mentioned in 1183.

• The town is home to two historic landmarks:

• The castle and park of Plessis: Open to the public regularly since 1993, Parc du Plessis is a private property on the outskirts of the town of Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux, towards Ruffigné. Its current owner is a landscape architect who wishes to highlight the various buildings located on the site (pigeon house, gardener's cottage, workshop, stables, bread oven ...) by creating several gardens: French garden and the English garden, rose garden ... Main Building of the 15th (central part called "mansion-porch") and the 17th centuries (the three wings of the castle). The castle, with its dependencies, was registered as a historic monument by decree of December 9, 1992.
• The menhir of Louères: Menhir erected during the Neolithic, ranked by order of November 5, 1928. Now isolated, it would have been part of an alignment. This presence, coupled with the discovery of an ax-hammer confirms the ancient settlement of Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux.
