The Castle Beaumefort 15th century was the scene of fighting during the war of religions.
The scrub: This land strewn with thyme and boxwood was once grown as evidenced by low walls, the capitelles and claps.
The dolmens: The location of the town says the ancient human settlement that is confirmed by the presence of thirty dolmens identified. This necropolis is partially visible along the trails.
Le Mas de la Vignasse collects objects and furniture once daily. The genuine silkworm fascinate you, it refers to activities related to silk that marked the heyday of the town.
The city is Ruoms, surrounded by ramparts, do not miss parades dug into the rocks and admire the old breweries. Its market is held on Friday morning.
In the direction of Aubenas, take a detour to admire the medieval village classified Balazuc. It is part of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Romanesque church and its narrow cobbled streets are typical of villages in southern Ardeche.
Then stop at Labeaume. This small village on the banks of the river of the same name, as is nestled against the cliffs that surround it. Her place is cozy and narrow alleys leading the walker to a ride through the Middle Ages.
On Wednesday, do not miss the market Joyeuse. The Renaissance town owes its name, according to legend, the sword of Charlemagne. Since the castle, the narrow cobblestone streets that line the walls take the visitor to the Museum of the Chestnut.
