Located 15 km north of Brive-la-Gaillarde, Sadroc covers 20 km ² between the valleys of Maumont Blanc and Clan, tributaries of the Corrèze. The highlight is Lafonsalade (424 m). Sadroc originates Sadran, name of a noble family from the 11th century who lived in the castle of the town now gone and replaced by a cozy farmhouse.

Sadroc châtellenie was the bishop of Limoges, landowner and lord of Sadroc. He partially delegates his powers to local lords who reciprocate the honor: Sadra and families of the barn in the Middle Ages. In the 14th century, a trial for possession and sale of the castle involves the king of France. The Bishop of Limoges is a result of this trial and direct landowner Sadroc until the Revolution. It detaches locally captains. During the wars of religion, in June 1590, Anne de Levis, Comte de la Voute and son of the Duke of Ventadour Sadroc attacked the castle, which had to go. The 18th century saw the decline of the nobility in the territory and the seizure of power by the landed bourgeoisie.

The church has a pulpit and Sadroc a communion table classified (sixteenth century.)

• The church dominates the town and was once fortified. The foundations of the tower are 12th or 13th century, the rest of the building being the fifteenth. Within a pulpit and a communion table of the 17th century are classified and listed as historical monuments. The statue of Saint Peter in Chains, head of the commune, has been restored and is in the choir.

• Pond of Faure: For lovers of walking and picnicking, the lake of Faures is also open to fishing. Fishing regulated and licensed the first weekend in April to the second weekend of September. • The second or third Sunday in April: Tour of furnaces and mills for walkers and bikers with nearly 1500 participants in 2010! Tasting baked in ovens on the course.
• The first weekend of August: local festival, farmers market countries, bowling, hiking, free shows.

• Vigeois: abbey of the twelfth, Old Bridge, if the millennium, Lake Pontcharal.
• Allassac and five churches.
• The Bulge: Vézère spanned by the medieval bridge of the thirteenth, the chapel of the 17th containing a Virgin of Loreto and stained glass windows created by Chagall.
• Uzerche, a medieval town known as the Pearl of the Limousin.
