• The memory of a few years of happiness Bonaparte and Josephine lived is rooted in the city of Rueil-Malmaison living memory of this period in our history. October 21, 2011, Rueil-Malmaison launched the brand "Imperial City" with the cities of St. Cloud, Compiegne and Fontainebleau and which will soon be joined in common historically linked to the first Napoleon and the First and Second Empire. • Located five miles west of Paris in the Hauts-de-Seine, Rueil-Malmaison spreads its 1,472 acres gently sloping heights of Mount Valerian Buzenval and hillsides to the banks of the Seine north.
• To come to Rueil-Malmaison:

• By public transport: From Paris RER line A direction Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Stop Rueil-Malmaison station then bus 141, 144, 241, 244 or 467. Bus 258 direct to La Defense in Rueil city to discover the historic center of the city or off the castle if you want to go to Malmaison.
• By car From Paris: Exit Porte Maillot, Pont de Neuilly, Departmental 913 (ex RN13) Rueil-Malmaison management.

• Former rural town, city gardeners long famous for the purity of its waters, Rueil has become a modern city, home to many offices and large corporations. It has, however, preserve its neighborhoods, its sites and flower-beds and stay well, a green city, orderly and humane.
• An atmosphere imperial reign over the city. Visit of the Château de Malmaison, the church of Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul where the tomb of the Empress Josephine and her daughter Queen Hortense ... Finally, you will be able to discover the old greenhouses Josephine (Castle Little Malmaison).
• In the historic center of Rueil which has retained its village character, stands the church of Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul, a listed building.
• The banks of the Seine, at the entrance to the Country of the Impressionists revealed, even today, traces of their history. By attending the famous taverns located on the banks of the river, many painters such as Renoir, Monet and Manet immortalized the landscape through their greatest paintings.

• From April to October, the Tourist Train Rueil introduces its passengers all the riches of the city from downtown to the park of Bois-Préau, to the Seine and the Chateau de Malmaison.
