Rouperroux-le-Coquet is located in the Sarthe, in the territory of the Community of Communes Maine 301.

In Roman times, the territory of the commune was crossed by the famous road Mansi, Roman road linking Le Mans in Evreux. A former monastery was then subsequently built in 832.

Now crossed by the D301, it is renowned for its magnificent church and its gourmet restaurant!

Church St. Mamert: Recently restored, the church dates from the 11th and 16th centuries. Inside, one can admire a magnificent statue placed in terracotta. It represents a Dormition of the Virgin. The Way of the Cross date from the nineteenth century, like the stained glass made by Fialeix. Beside the church you can see the old rectory (private property) which has a wooden door communicating with the church.

The pilgrimage of Saint Mamert: During the restoration of the church, a niche used to house the statue of the saint was discovered. In March 2002, the statue found its place of origin. We spoke at St Mamert for upset stomach. Today you can walk in the footsteps of pilgrims in St Mamert through a hiking trail. The pilgrimage takes place around May 11

On the road to San Cosme in Vairais: On the road from Saint-Cosme-en-Vairais, we note the presence of an altar dedicated to Our Lady of the Ormeau which according to legend, protects the storm .

At the exit of the hamlet of Guémançais in the right-hander, is a small chapel. In the 11th century, there was on this spot a priory. Over time it became a farm. The chapel is now the only witness of the past.
