Welcome to the charming city of Roquecourbe, nestled in the south of the Tarn department, in the heart of the Pays-Sidobre Lacaune less than 10 km northeast of the town of Castres. Nestled in a bend of the river Agout, it is surrounded by green hills. The Roquecourbains nearly 2300 and engaged in agricultural activities, industrial (knitting, spinning, granite), craft and trade. The rich social life, sport and culture makes it a very pleasant village where life is good.
It was on the spur of St. Juliana to be situated behind Roquecourbe. This high sacred place of worship was discovered in 1952. Celtic origin of the seventh century, and its occupation by the Visigoths, the Cathars and make an exceptional historical site. In this place succeeded religions for centuries. Indeed, although devastated in 1209 during the crusade against the Albigenses and the Lordship of Roquecourbe, this site has retained a soul. Official excavations continued until 1976 have to update many remains (pottery, rings, spurs and bone), some of which are still stored at the tourist office at Roquecourbe. The site of St. Juliana freely visit all year round (guided tours on request).
In 1229, Philippe de Montfort built the second, on his return from the war undertaken in Italy by the Duke of Anjou, a castle Roquecourbe. Facing the castle, the village began to develop, both being connected by a bridge. Built in the 13th century, the village will gradually grow thanks to the development, from the 19th century the textile industry. 1990 and 2000 saw the inevitable decline of this industry that was previously the main activity of the city. Since the Union, take the bridge to Lacrouzette then follow the signs. The remains of the castle can be seen from the deck.

A view over the village from the rock can be said of the "Pertussis". Take the bridge, follow signs to the campsite, on the set, turn left and follow the gravel path.

The votive festival is held annually the third weekend of September.
The celebration of the basketball club the first weekend of July.
National Day with dancing and fireworks held on July 13.
Music Festival June 21, with the participation of the troupe of majorettes Roquecourbe.
June 24, traditional fire of Saint John.
The first week of May is an opportunity for the municipality to organize a major cultural exhibition of paintings and sculptures in the hall of Siloam, one week.
A giant garage sale is held in the village streets on the second Sunday in October.
Every Sunday from November to March, you can win some nice prizes by participating in Bingo Associations Roquecourbaines being held in the village hall.
Food lovers can satisfy their appetite by taking part in gourmet markets which are held in the evening on three occasions during the summer.
Petanque competitions are held every Friday evening in July and August.
Dance enthusiasts can come and have a good time of friendship, every last Saturday of the month of October to May
Finally, the traditional market for full-vent is held every Friday morning, instead of the ladle.
