Ronce-les-Bains, one of the top resorts. It was Dr. Brochard, Parisian doctor born in La Rochelle in 1801 which gave him his letters of nobility Ronce-les-Bains. In 1862 he wrote a pamphlet "The sea baths Tremblade" which contributed to the growth of the station. The development of Brian really began in 1890 when it noted some 200 swimmers already indulging in the pleasures of a pleasant holiday. The tranquility, beauty and security of the site have only win new followers and thus enhance the image of the station has since steadily grown to become the charming seaside resort it is today.

Bordered on one side by the Seudre other by the Coubre forest, which stretches 6,000 acres along the ocean, Ronce-les-Bains invites you to hiking, horseback or mountain bike along 25 km of trails Biking through the pines. You can enjoy 25 km of sandy beaches, wildlife, protected as that of Spanish Point, observe the varieties of birds that nest in the marshes surrounding nature reserves.
