Rives is one of 13 municipalities in the canton of Villereal.

Its beautiful Romanesque church of Saint Peter is an example of balance and serenity. It was part of an ancient priory now disappeared.

Large agricultural areas surrounding enable residents to live in open spaces and protected from pollution.
