Head south of the Canton of Vic-Fezensac, Riguepeu, lowland village, was built at the foot of a steep hill. Dependence of the barony of angles, the bastide or castelnau (the issue was never resolved), created in the mid 12th century, received a charter of laws in 1279, former stronghold of Montesquieu, it was completely destroyed in 1586 by the floods in Osse. The forest of Montpellier is still famous for its glass from which came the bottles for Armagnac. Riguepeu was the home of Colonel Loubere, governor of Guiana in the 19th century.
