A little history:

Remy has a long history, marked by an occupation since prehistoric times, an important development to the Hundred Years War, but this small town is a lot of these troubled times.

A castle, of which there are only remnants, is hotly contested during the Hundred Years War.

It was during the Renaissance that the church (historical monument) is enlarged. A superb bedside is added to the church before.

Then in the 19th century, the industry is growing and significant number of plants installed: brick, distillery, factories Siamese, etc ...

In the 20th century Remy suffer many of the two world wars.

Finally, the most recent period has seen the village's population doubled.
