History: The name of this town evokes a rich history and ancient. Despite the many wars that have marked its history, there are still some remains interesting archival material and some constructions, the most important is undoubtedly a feudal house called "the castle".

Location: 18 miles southwest of Sarrebourg, near the county boundary between the Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle, between the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, the railway line Paris-Strasbourg, and halfway between the major roads that form the N4 and CD955.

5 km northwest of the village and extending into the pale of Réchicourt-le-Château, was built in the early 1930s the curious village Bataville, one of the few in France to bear the name of the firm that arranged for needs.
