If Puy-Sanières enjoys a privileged location in the Hautes-Alpes in part through its dominant position on the right bank of the lake of Serre-Ponçon and peripheral zone of the Ecrins National Park.

The six main villages that make up the village are located at 1200 meters altitude on the plateau Puys, this magnificent natural view on the southern slopes of Mount William. Who said southern flank said exceptional sunshine, mild climate and beautiful scenery.

Throughout the years, the panorama is the visitor spectacular and colorful. From the vastness of Lake Serre-Ponçon the majesty of the massive Grand Morgon and Parpaillon, the eye is always attracted by new images, new colors mixing according to the hours, the seasons.

For nature lovers, Puy-Sanières is a huge open-air theater where everyone can indulge his passion, more peaceful and more sports: hiking, mountain bike, sites renowned paragliding, horseback riding (riding school), without forget the water sports on the lake, everyone is benefiting! Skiers have only few miles pass to enjoy the area Réallon in dolomitic Needles Chabrières.

The village church is no lack of style with its characteristic bell pretty, decorated her porch and sundial.

Just above the village is a bucolic place to hope: the Lock, here, not barge but a range of discreet picnic arranged near a small pond surrounded by willow trees.

Much earlier, clinging to the side of Mount William, the cabin reminds us of the Shepherds formerly pastoral activity was intense in the town.

And if at a bend your ear is drawn to any melody, do not be surprised: the school of music and choir Puy-Sanières have reached a long-standing reputation that goes beyond the limits of the town.
