Pujols is located on the plateau above the alluvial plain of the Dordogne, but has no outlet to the River. The name is perhaps from the Celtic "Pujols" which meant a high place.

• The church of Saint-Pierre:

• Built on a terrace overlooking the valley of the Dordogne, is a church with vaulted nave, built in a transitional style and completed in the 16th century.
• Inside the church is preserved a Merovingian sarcophagus gray marble of the Pyrenees, the 5th or 6th century.

• Castle:

• No document speaks Castle Pujols before the 13th century. It was owned by Henry 3rd of England at the beginning of his reign in 1216 and was kidnapped by the French at the same time and Rauzan Blaignac in 1222. After the turbulent period of the Hundred Years War, the Dukes of Duras kept it from 1478 to 1793.
• The castle occupies the summit of the hill where we had a superb view over the valley of the Dordogne.
• The currently visible part is the main body located in the north to the slopes faster. The house was separated from town by a deep ditch now filled. Today it houses the town hall and post office.
