Languedoc village of 2706 inhabitants, nestled in the vineyards between sea and mountains, Puisserguier enjoys a micro climate. As one of 90 villages of the circular region Puisserguier is on the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela, in the heart of Southern France.
The village is rich in history: the streets are arranged in a circle around the castle from the 11th and 12th century and can still stand on the remains of walls, the flames kindled by Simon de Montfort during the war Cathars in 1209.
The parish church of St Paul dates from the 14th century and has beautiful arched vaults in cradles strengthened by double arches. You can also admire the paintings of Jacques Gamelin, painter of the 18th century.
Take a walk, accompanied by the song of cicadas to the priory of St. Christopher, with its 17th century chapel perched on a hill in the pine forest, a great place to picnic and relax in the shade during the heat afternoon. Admire the "Gourgue Fichous of" natural pool carved into the red rock a mile from the village.
Stroll the market Friday morning on the shady walk in and get the good taste of authenticity to the soil. Meet the many growers who will make you taste their wines and AOC.

Meetings winegrowers and winemakers of meals are organized by season to discover the landscapes, vineyards and wines in the company of winemakers in the village. Promenade, wine tasting and lunch. Information for the Tourist Office on +33 4 67 93 85 27.
In March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November: Empty granaries, every first Sunday of each month.
In June: Fair St. Christopher. Spend a pleasant moment in the middle of the pine forest of Saint Christopher.
In July: Day of Wine and Art Professions. Chapter of the Brotherhood, craft fair, local produce. Demonstrations of crafts. Street music.
Early October: Book Fair Youth and comics.

Capestang:
St. Stephen's Collegiate 14th century monument - one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Languedoc. Ascent bell 11h, 17h, 18h in season.
Castle of the Archbishop, a historical monument. Castle in the 12th century, residence of the Archbishop of Narbonne. It houses a magnificent painted ceiling dating from the 15th century, illustrated and explained by the interpretive center.
Cruzy:
Church of St. Eulalia of Merida, a listed historical monuments - Rebuilt in the 14th century from Romanesque and fortified bases.
Archaeological Museum, paleontological and local history. It contains in particular the banners of revolt winemakers from 1907, classified as historical monuments. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 14h to 18h - +33 4 67 89 35 85 - Free.
Montouliers: Small village perched on a hill surrounded by scrubland, vines and red soil typical of this region. In the village, wide steps cobbled, cobbled called, can climb the narrow streets to the castle and church. On leaving the village you will discover the fountain called "Roman".
Forty:
St. Mary's Abbey, a historic monument of the 11th century. Witness the first major southern Romanesque - Free visit.
Archaeological Museum. Collection of Neolithic to Middle Ages - Opened only in July and August from 11am to 12pm and from 14h to 18h.
Wind Bollée monument. Made by Auguste Bollee, it allowed to feed water to the castle Roueïre.
