Small village of a hundred people in the northern department of Aisne, Prisces is one of those places that make that Thiérache is beautiful.

Nestled in lush greenery, bordered by the river "la Brune, Prisces proud of its fortified church of the Middle Ages.

The village is typical of the Aisne, with its red brick houses arranged around the church, washing and Town Hall Square. Recent work has been undertaken in central town to beautify it.

The town has a rich and varied history since its foundation until today.

A former laundry still in office, two pigeon, a farmhouse dating from 1804, a house decorated with harps triangular flint to see walking in the village.

But there is primarily a fortified church! The fortified church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin is regarded as exceptional and is listed as historical monuments (IMH): choir and nave of the 12th century Romanesque windows, carved corbels, high brick tower of the 16th century, flanked by two circular towers, chimneys. The fortified church, also called "castle church" has the highest church tower Thiérache. The high tower of twenty-five yards was added in the 16th century, and two defensive towers. The church has four floors that were capable of hosting hundreds of fighters.

Throughout the year, the festival committee organizes numerous activities: meals, exhibits and photos of minerals, competitions, cycling.
