Porto is a seaside resort located on the territory of the town Ota.

Located between Calvi and Ajaccio, nestled deep in the gulf that bears his name, the hamlet of Porto is the coastline of the town of Ota.

With the prestigious sites such as the Natural Reserve of Scandola, the Gulf of Girolata the Creeks of Piana, the entire Gulf of Porto was filed in 1983, World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Like a sentinel, the Genoese tower, one of four rectangular towers of the island that once stood against the invading barbarians, now houses a permanent exhibition on the walls of the Corsican coast. During the ascent of the tower, a detour to the little museum of the heather is possible to discover the use of this fuel in the manufacture of objects.

The old magazine has also evolved with the times: it now houses an aquarium full of fauna and flora of the Gulf sea.

Porto is the point of departure for the nearest boat tours (rent or excursion) prestigious sites such as the Creeks of Piana, the Scandola Nature Reserve and the hamlet of Girolata.

Her giant eucalyptus forest is closed.

During the summer, a concert a week is offered free on the site of Porto, evenings out of World Music Day (June 21), National Day (July 14) and Assumption (August 15) also animated.

Many walks and hikes are available in the immediate vicinity of Porto.

Sea side, beautiful unspoilt beaches are various possibilities to satisfy the tastes of everyone (inlets, coves and large beaches of sand or pebbles).

Mountain side, the gorges of the Cranium, Forest Aïtone and small mountain villages (Ota, Evisa Marignana and Cristinacce) illustrate perfectly the Corsican mountain.
