• Pontaumur The church has a unique organ, the instrument best suited to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach in France. It is an exact replica of the organ of Arnstadt (Thuringia, Germany) which Bach was owner at the age of 18 years and where he composed his early works. It was built in 2002 and 2003 by Francis Delhumeau, organ builder in La Chassagne (near Aubusson in Creuse). The initiator of this project is Jean-Marc Thiallier, founder of the Bach Festival in Combrailles. This instrument attracts organists from all over Europe.
