Breathtaking medieval house, with battlements and defenses unique Polignac fortress stands on a dike which serves as a pedestal. It is the birthplace of the illustrious house Polignac, whose turbulent history mingled with that of Velay and France since the Middle Ages.

On this rock Polignac is grafted from the Renaissance many myths and legends, whose content continues to generate, since the 15th century, violent polemics. Indeed, where now stand the ruins of the castle, was erected in the ancient temple of Apollo, comparable in function to the magical site of Delphi in Greece.

The church of Saint-Martin Polignac: a heritage jewel. Since 1062, the existence of the church Saint-Martin is certified. During the 12th century, it is with the stately chapel of St. Andéol a priories Abbey Pébrac near Langeac.

Located on the town, to Bilhac, a beautiful 17th century house, beautifully renovated houses the workshops Polignac.
