Plouzélambre is a small agricultural town of Trégor (livestock and fodder crops) bordered by Roscoat, a small coastal river that flows into the Channel, 5 km from the village. The town, near the sea, is influenced by its climate.
The village is built on a Gallo-Roman.
In the Middle Ages, two lords lived and faced them, the lord and the lord of Kerbavé Kervégan. As in all towns in Brittany, the legends are numerous including one that pervades the Northern Brittany: the legend of the seven saints from Ireland to evangelise Britain. The name translates as the common Plou: Zélambre parish and name of an Irish monk arrived in the 5th century.
It lasts longer than a store in the village, a coffee shop opened by the Municipality.
Plouzélambre churchyard has the only complete Trégor: a church, a cemetery, a crucifix and a charnel house surrounded by a stone wall. It is a historical monument since 1994. The Church of St. Sylvester in the 15th century. There is also a fountain on the town remarkable, and a chapel and the chapel Saint-Melara.
Its natural heritage, with the valley Roscoat and sunken roads borrows the GR-34B, is interesting to explore on foot with a remarkable bio-diversity.
