Located on the Continental Divide Water Channel-Atlantic Plémy is at 235 m altitude. Situated on an ancient Roman road east-west stretching from Rennes to Carhaix and the crossing of an old north-south highway stretching from the Channel to the Atlantic via Dinan, Lamballe, to Loudéac.
History Plémy has already begun with prehistory, the three standing stones that stand in the fields at a place called the Drény are proof.
Plémy owes its name to the parish of Ploemic (Parish of St. Michael). The town will not take his name in 1690. The first Sunday in September sees a pardon at Notre Dame de la Croix, a small celebration with a rustic meal takes place on the site.
