At the junction of the Tarn and Aveyron, on the set of Segala, Pampelonne is a charming village. Pampelonne is an ancient country house of 13th century royal created by the Seneschal Eustache de Beaumarchais. This time the ancestral remain open square in particular houses, and a corner tower in the village. Less than 5 minutes from the future highway Rodez-Toulouse Pampelonne is both peaceful and de-embedded.
SIGHTSEEING

Outside the village on a rocky outcrop, the ruins of the castle dominate the meander Thuriès Viaur. The Viaur includes several mills, such as that of Bondouy and that of Touren for the common Pampelonne.

Since 2002, following the initiative of some Pampelonne, the Association of Heritage Preservation Pampelonne, undertook the renovation of some Oustalous Sécadous or on the hiking trails around the village. The nature trail shows the whole diversity of flora lush meandering Thuriès, it is listed by signage that is both attractive and educational. Under the influence of three different climates, more than 60 trees and shrubs are to be discovered during an invigorating and informative tour.
Pampelonne is a mecca for hiking. Over 15 tours allow you to discover during a family outing or sporting an hour a day to the charms of the valley and plateau Viaur Ségala. These circuits are marked and maintained.
Throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings from July to August, outdoor dining on the square Fabre, followed by free dance organized by the Festival Committee.
Rental canoes and kayaks to camping during the summer also possible.
The celebration of books and greed takes place the first weekend of July. Sixty authors and stands goumandises share the shade of trees. Entertainment and fun are key words of these two days of festivities.
