Noyal-Pontivy (in Breton Grouse Pond) is located in Central Brittany east of Pontivy. Surrounded by common Pontivy, Gérand St., San Gonnery, Gueltas, Kerfourn, Naizin, Moustoir-Remungol and St. Thuriau, it covers an area of 5345 ha.
A 137 m altitude, the town dominates the eastern side of the Blavet valley and the town of Pontivy. Noyal-Pontivy is limited to the north by the canal from Nantes to Brest, is bisected by the Signan (or Niel) and the Belle Chere, themselves tributaries Blavet.
Noyal-Pontivy is the second largest municipality in the Commonwealth of Municipalities with 3379 inhabitants, 5 parks which are located many IT companies to the majority of them in the food. This economic activity, generating more than 1,000 jobs, makes this place an important link between municipalities. The town has a sixty traders and artisans, some thirty companies and many services.
Agriculture is an economic force guaranteeing local development. Over 80% of the territory nuclei is intended for agriculture: on 5345 ha, utilized agricultural area (UAA) is 4369 ha. Noyal-Pontivy is thus an area of the town of Canton 1st and 2nd in the Community Commons. The 103 farms noyalaises represent 25% of farms in the canton of Pontivy and 8% of those of the Community Commons. The cultivation of the potato remains a feature of the Pays de Pontivy.
Noyal-Pontivy has a rich religious heritage: numerous chapels (Saint Noyale, Saint Arnold, Sainte-Barbe), the site of the "Three Fountains" of Calvary.
- The chapel called "Little Saint nuclei: it is in the town, near the entrance of the old rectory. It is a building of early 18th century (1707). The sanctuary was consecrated December 23, 1708 by its builder, the rector of Bouetiez Joseph, who was then also a canon of the Cathedral of Vannes.
- The church building of the 15th century. One reaches the south side by a magnificent flaming porch, a wealth of sculptures. On both sides are lined with statues of characters that are not all identifiable. All the furniture of the church is rich and interesting. A beautiful lectern with eagle liturgy is placed in the choir. A pillar supports a fine polychrome pieta. The statues are many: St. Therese, Sacred Heart, the Virgin Mary, holy Noyale (modern), St. John, St. Peter, St. Paul, St. Anne and the Virgin, the Assumption and St. Noyale (old). The tower contains four bells weighing a total of 3.739 tons, which was blessed October 23, 1887.
- Site Poulvern site is located in the village of Poulvern, at the southern edge of the town, near Pontivy D767-Locminé. The chapel is a 15th century building, made of large and medium aircraft on a rectangular plan, and whose decor is flamboyant. The eight paintings depicting scenes paneling of St. Barbara and St.-nuclei. Many beautiful statues of the 15th century adorn the sanctuary: St. Barbara, St. Patern, St. Adrian, St. Catherine, the Virgin Mary and St. Margaret. It was said long ago that Notre Dame de la Houssaye was the night to visit St. Barbara. - Site of St. Arnould: the chapel is located near the village of the same name, left the road D2. Towards rohan. The owner would or Arnulf St. Arnulf (580-640), bishop of Reims to 610. Ansegisel by his son, the father of Pepin of Herstal, he was the ancestor of the Carolingian dynasty. The chapel is a building shaped like a Latin cross, which was rebuilt on the site of an ancient shrine in 1842. The furniture includes some beautiful statues: St. Arnulphe St. Patern, St. John the Evangelist and Our Lady of Deliverance.
- Site of St. Noyale: the chapel, a listed monument since May 1965, is located 2 km north-west of town. This building is Gothic. Inside, wood paneling painted 17th century illustrate the life of the martyr. Outside, next to a chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist, still receives the faithful in celebrations outdoors. St. nuclei is known to cure headaches. Art in the chapels: the Chapel St-nuclei is open from June 30 to September 16, daily except Mondays, from 14 h 30 to 19 pm (admission free). Through Operation "Art in the chapels, there are more than three thousand visitors each year who discover the site of St. nuclei.
- Legend of St. cores: according to legend, St. Noyale lived in the 6th century: from England, she was looking for a chapel in Brittany. She was decapitated by a head Armorican spurned. Stoic, she took his head between his hands and looked for a burial. It rested at the bottom of a valley, the legend says that she shed tears welled three fountains. Then she went away to die in a remote and uninhabited at the time, where now stands the village took its name. On his grave was erected the chapel Saint-nuclei.
- Site Three Fountains: fountains exist Noyal-Pontivy near the chapels of Sainte-Barbe Poulvern, St. Arnold and St. nuclei. But the three most beautiful are grouped in a place called "the three fountains", 1.5 km north of town. According to legend these three fountains have been built on three sources springing spontaneously in places where three drops of blood holy-Noyale, and holding his decapitated head in his hands, fell on her way instead of his death. The three fountains were restored in 1818. A date is a cross of 1600.

- The Manor Orchard: Orchard Manor was built or rebuilt in 1639. The manor belonged in turn to the Gallo family, which operated its own land, wielding the sword as well as the plow. They later found the family who sold angled part of the land to widen the existing provincial road towards Rohan. It was also the cradle of a Parisian doctor before becoming, in 1912, owned by Julian Bellour, co-founder of the white sheep. His children sold the mansion to the municipality that made the new mayor in 1962.

- Wind Farm, a wind farm is located near the place called Kerlaizan, straddling the common Noyal-Pontivy (5 km from the town) and Gueltas. It consists of 6 wind turbines G80 (1 500 kilowatts and 80 m in diameter) on the common Noyal-Pontivy (4) and Gueltas (2). The installation site is located in an area that retains its agricultural use.
- The municipality is endowed with cultural and sports facilities: library, lake built, sailing center and recreation, sports hall, ballroom, tennis, three football fields?
- Every Wednesday from early May to late August, the nautical school touring (ENI) organizes individual sailing courses for children and adults.
- During school holidays and every Wednesday, the greetings of welcome entertainment for children from 3 to 14 years.
