Nexon, capital of Canton is a town of 2474 inhabitants located 25 km south of Limoges, ranked "3 flowers" at the National Competition of Bloom. City gate of Périgord-Limousin Natural Park, Nexon is also a step on the Route Richard Coeur de Lion. Common dynamic, Nexon has a rich network of associations and a wide variety of shops. The city is best known for her stud farm, castle, but also by the presence of Sirque, National Center for Circus Arts.
Nexon is diverse both in its built heritage and natural and in its cultural attractiveness. The 17th century castle, restored in the 19th century is surrounded by a park of about 40 hectares, is conducive to walk, bike or on horseback, in fact, the equestrian center "The stud of the park" offers all walks throughout the year by appointment. Nexon is also known for his "Jardin des Sens, a bridge between generations." This free garden is a place where all senses exhale through several small theme gardens such as the path of the bark, the maze of bamboo, the tunnel of the scents, the orchard or garden therapy. Located in the castle park between home and school is a meeting place for generations through days of workshops, planting, and set up meetings throughout the year. The fame of the town is very well represented by the "Sirque - National Center for Circus Arts" shows, exhibitions, residencies, resource center, contemporary circus festival in August. Here are some of the missions of the association. A permanent marquee is installed since 2001 in the castle park to accommodate all these activities.
The church of the 12th and 15th centuries, open access, is the remains of fortifications such as the bell tower and stone Breteche. Inside you can admire the reliquary bust of Saint Ferréol 16th century and a shrine of the 13th century enamelled copper.
Nexon also has a hiking trail and practicable enrolled all year (topo guide available at the Tourist Office) and a tourist center with trees and a camping around the lake of Lande accessible to all.

Several interesting sites exist around Nexon. Castle Lastours part of the tourist route "Richard the Lionheart" is visible from the road in the town of Rilhac-Lastours. Visits to the torch, medieval events and camps are organized during the summer. On the same common is the "Garden of the millennium," medieval garden free access all year round. Located in the old castle mound, it consists of confined spaces such as flower garden, orchard or garden simple.
