The town lies in a valley on the edge of the vineyards of Sancerre, in an area controlled appellation of dung Chavignol.

She lives in polyculture and Charolais breeding and goat.

This town was called Vicus Novus-1129.

The passing tourist has attracted the eye by a massive tower, erected by Hugh de Vesvre about 1170 in a valley wet.
