Mourvilles-Hautes is the center of three departments: Haute-Garonne, the Aude and Tarn. Situated on a hill, one can see the village of Black Mountain, fields of grain and Lauragais the Pyrenees when the days are clear enough.

The village lies midway between the airports of Toulouse and Carcassonne, and is therefore easily accessible.

• The church of St Mary Magdalen:

• It was built in 1329. Its construction seems to have lasted until the late 14th century.
• Built in sandstone fairly regular, long of 25 yards, it has a pentagonal apse, elevated three steps and five chapels flanking the nave of four bays, the last two are deflected to the northwest. Note especially the front of the fortified tower with the portal third point, the foothills drips, the pinnacles that surround the bell gable with three bays of the Gothic 14th century, decorated with carved columns and capitals.

• Mills:

• The mill with its wings is one of the oldest (1571) and one of the most beautiful in the south of France. Its longevity is explained by the quality of construction and materials used.
• The second, more recent, was built in 1789. The stone is the basic construction, we may notice a few stones and bricks.

• Festivities: 3rd weekend of July.
