Montouliers is a French commune located in the department of Herault and the Languedoc-Roussillon. The name of the village would be related to the presence of an olive grove on the hill where the village was built: Monte Olerio, the "Mount of Olives."

This small village is surrounded by scrubland, vineyards and red earth typical of this region.

In the village, large cobbled steps, called calades, can climb the narrow streets to the castle and the church. At the end of the village you will discover the fountain called "Roman".

• Capestang:

• St. Stephen's Collegiate 14th century monument. One of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Languedoc. Ascent bell 11h, 17h, 18h in season.
• Palace of the Archbishop, a historical monument. Castle in the 12th century, residence of the Archbishop of Narbonne. It houses a magnificent painted ceiling dating from the 15th century, illustrated and explained by the interpretive center.

• Cruzy:

• Church of St. Eulalia of Merida, classified as historical monuments. Rebuilt in the 14th century from Romanesque and fortified bases.
• Archaeological Museum, paleontological and local history. It contains in particular the banners of revolt winemakers from 1907, classified as historical monuments. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 14h to 18h. Enquiries +33 4 67 89 35 85. Free admission.

• Forty:

• St. Mary's Abbey, a historic monument of the 11th century. Witness the first major southern novel art. Visit Free
• Archaeological Museum. Collections from the Neolithic to Middle Ages. Opened only in July and August from 11am to 12pm and from 14h to 18h.
• Wind Turbine Bollée monument. Made by Auguste Bollee, it allowed to feed water to the castle Roueïre.

• Puisserguier:

• The circulade - The village is typical of the "castrum" Languedoc, built in a circle around the castle, the inner journey creates a circulade.
• The 11th century chateau with a permanent exhibition of the necropolis of the Iron Age of Rouquette. Guided tours.
