Ari Bara Fair: Each year the first Sunday in September.

The Fair Ari Bara was born 700 years ago. It has been for several centuries a predominantly agricultural market before becoming, in the late 1980s at the initiative of the municipality at the time, in a commercial event set on the first Sunday of September.

Today Fair Ari Bara about 200 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors on the day. She became the rendezvous of school in Savoy.

Besides the open market, is held the same day the Forum of Associations which allows the fifty associations montmélianaises to present its activities. Some associations have supported the lottery of the Fair being held on Saturday evening and the marquee restaurant serves between 600 and 700 meals at noon.

Street entertainment throughout the day contribute to the festive nature of the Fair Ari Bara. All day: the open market, selling local produce in the Old City and Market Square, the booth at the City Gymnasium Montmélian The Kotinos, the Association Forum at The Gym Kotinos; entertainment all day on the meadow fair, food tent.
