The town of Montils is located in a triangle formed by the towns of Cognac, Saintes and Pons.

• Village of Montils:

• Church ranked 12th with curious corbels and scabrous.
• Near the church, two sarcophagi: one to two seats and one trough (VIII-XII).
• High density of underground shelters including the town hall (you can visit on request). In the region, is dubbed the capital of Montils underground.

• At a place called "Averton" Bridge of Pérat composed of limestone monoliths. The Wind Mill: Neolithic site namesake.
• At a place called Jarlac: the ruins of a windmill. This place offers a superb panorama of the marshes of the Seugne.
• The Guédard: small picnic area beside the river Seugne.
• At a place called Mérignac

• The castle and its grounds (private). The porch of the castle is dated nineteenth. The gatehouse is flanked by two towers with corbelled niches.
• The mill Merignac, astride a reach of Seugne offers a visual pleasure.

• At a place called Auvignac, a charming little village, the path between two mountains will take you to the "Gour" resurgence in high flow, which flows into an arm of the Seugne. The mill and the bridge of three arches is a remarkable architectural ensemble. The foundations of the mill based on wheels cars side weir. A very pleasant place to explore by canoe.
