Sub-prefecture of the department of Loire, on the border of the Plains and Mountains Forez Montbrison is an attractive city with about 16 000 inhabitants but which shines on a pool of larger life of about 70 000 inhabitants.

Mentioned in ancient history and context of peaceful life and preserved (Montbrison is ranked three flowers at the national competition of cities and villages in bloom), Montbrison is also known for its centuries-old market on Saturday morning (the largest of the Loire) and its gastronomy. Former capital of the Counts of Drill the 11th century, Montbrison has a remarkable architectural heritage, one of the most important department of the Loire.
