At the heart of the Bastide Country, founded in 1284, the country house of Monpazier kept almost intact its appearance and its original dimensions. Eight centuries after its founding, it presents itself to visitors as an authentic jewel of medieval architecture.

Located south of the Dordogne, 45 km from Bergerac and Sarlat and 60 km from Cahors, Monpazier is the limit of the Lot and Lot-et-Garonne.
