The village is located on Monestier-de-Clermont Township Monestier, and at an altitude of 846 m. You will welcome about 1103 inhabitants. Between the valley and Gresse Valley Drac Monestier-de-Clermont opens Trièves. Its location on the R & D in 1075 made a stopover town. It is also a starting point for many walks. Monestier-de-Clermont owes its origin to the abbey founded around 1100.
