Mombrier is located in Haute Gironde, in the canton of Bourg-en-Gironde. This is one of the smallest municipalities in the township area (425 hectares) located 4 km from Bourg north at the intersection of two roads.

More than 350 people still fall for several hamlets and in a town-center.

An early human presence is organized into three periods: the Neolithic, the Gallo-Roman era and the early Middle Ages with the construction of Saint-Sulpice medieval name of the parish of Sanctus Sulpicius Monberier the 13th century.
