Situated on a hillside at the foot of the hill Crax, Mittelbergheim is one of the most picturesque villages of Alsace.

Center wine (there are traces from the year 496) known for their vintage Zotzenberg. Gourmet restaurant with its famous restaurants.

Founded by the Franks, Mittelbergheim was formerly known as "Berge". In the late 9th century Emperor Charles the Fat gave them away to his wife Richarde. The village belonged thereafter to the Bishopric of Strasbourg, families Andlau and Bergheim and the City of Strasbourg.

His website and its remarkable architectural heritage to his being ranked among the most beautiful villages of France.
