The town of Mérigny spans 3066 hectares and has 570 inhabitants known as the Mérignois. The village is located in the park of Brenne with its 1,000 lakes, the borders of Berry and Poitou. Mérigny is crossed by Anglin, pretty river 66 km long.

Fishing, canoeing, caving, rock climbing, recreational activities related to the valley of the Anglin.

Three hiking trails are available on the town (8, 14 and 17 km).

Many mills were built along the course of Anglin. Stone quarries have long been exploited. Blocks found suggests that was the size of the Merovingian sarcophagus.

To see: the Church of St. Sulpice the thirteenth, the Priory of Puychevrier twelfth, Plaincourault Castle and Chapel, the castle of Roche Bellusson.

Angles-sur-l'Anglin: Roc the Wizards, interpretive center of the frieze Magdalenian (excavations in 1947). Evidence of human presence 14,000 years ago. Chateau d'Angles built in 1025.

Hiking trails are numerous, well marked and well maintained. Three tours are offered on the town. There are also other circuits countries of the valley of the Creuse and Anglin passing Mérigny.

If you like mountain biking, you will find your happiness, a circuit marked out of the hamlet of Beauchapeau than Plaincourault and up to Le Blanc (58 km).

Climbing enthusiasts, several cliffs overlooking the Anglin (Rock of Dube, cliffs of Guignoterie). For others, there are three large holes on the town (the Poirel, Straws Beauchapeau cave, the cave's Heir).

The canoe is in the spotlight. Several courses are offered (Anglin, Creuse and Gartempe).
