Marsalès is located north of Monpazier on a plateau watershed between the valleys of the Garonne and the Dordogne. 31 hamlets constitute it.

During the Heritage Days in September, you can meet people from the village proud and happy to show you their church.

The Romanesque church of Saint-Loup the 12th century. A pagan worship the god Mars would have been dedicated to this place, giving the name to the village (Marsalesium). This church and the covered walkway "the oustal del wolf" demonstrate the importance of the wolf Marsalès.
