Marin is a rural community of 1609 inhabitants in the last 2007 census.

Located at 550 m altitude, on a "green between Coteau and Dranse Mountain", and between Thonon-les-Bains and Evian, there live.

Agriculture, handicrafts, farming and winemaking activities are essential.
