Malesherbes is located in the northern department of Loiret, on the border of the Essonne and Seine-et-Marne.
The Church of St. Martin's church Malesherbes is under the patronage of St. Martin, apostle of the Gauls. It features architectural styles from different periods and a rich interior furnishings.
Malesherbes Castle: Castle Malesherbes is the highest since feudalism, an impressive historical past. Former home of William Christian Lamoignon Malesherbes of "gentleman Malesherbes" and home to many kings of France, this castle with medieval walls of the 17th has extensive tithe barn, a large loft (one of the largest of the hexagon ) and a beautiful chapel. It is also home to the house called "Chateaubriand" which were hidden the nephews of the writer, after their parents died on the scaffold. The monument can be visited more. It is possible to stroll through the wooded park from July 5 to August 27, weekdays from 10h to 16h (closed weekends and holidays) and during Heritage Days. Admission charge, free for children under 8 years.
