Lourdes, world city of pilgrimage of the Hautes-Pyrenees and the second city hotel in France.

The pilgrimage season runs from Palm Sunday to mid-late October. During this period, Lourdes is very choppy. She received worldwide: International Military Pilgrimage (IMP), Guardians of the Camargue pilgrimage, Hajj Travellers (gypsies) and many others.

In so-called quiet season, October to April, Lourdes is the hub for travel to ski resorts. This is the crossing point of many skiers in the region and throughout France, especially during school holidays, and many Spaniards who come close.

Its patron saint is St. Peter. The local festival is the last Sunday of June.
