• History:

• It is likely that Loché has been a crossing point between the Saône and Mountains since prehistoric times.
• A Lopchius to the Gallo-Roman settled on this land near the Little Grosne and meadows, and founded a "villa" which took the name Lopchiacus. Many remains of Roman houses including the current location of the TGV station is certainly the remains of the "villa" which is the origin of the village.
• Subsequently, the development of the culture of vines near the village its current location between hills and meadows.
• One of the earliest documents in existence Loché is preserved in the cartulary of St. Vincent. He is a charter of 986 which makes reference to at least four related families, whereas all Lopchiacus would count a dozen "fuegos" (families). The influence of the clergy in the 10th and 11th centuries led the construction of a small chapel and the church in the 12th century.
• Loch was long the object of envy and strife between the Count of Macon and the Lords of Vinzelles much to raise the taxes requisition labor for heavy work or defend the castle.
• Loch, independent parish at the time of the Revolution, acquires its administrative autonomy at that time.
• It is now associated with the town of Macon
