The town of 447 inhabitants of Limeyrat. Due to its geographical position, it lies on a geological fault. Varied landscape from arid and rocky slopes, south, rich soil and clay, those of the Cretaceous to the north (the Jurassic limestone plateau) the hills covered with chestnut, white oak or softwood.
The climax, in Chalard, is 243 meters from where you can see, in clear weather, the mountains of Auvergne. Nearby, at a place called Red House was without doubt a stop on a Roman road.
