Between Champagne and Berrichonne Boischaut North Levroux offers a colorful landscape and changing with the seasons. Plains, meadows and woods come together in a system of grain farming and goat farming for the production of the famous pyramid of goat.

The historic commercial center joined by a system of narrow and winding streets where you can wander around admiring the medieval architecture. Looking up you will see the distinct "gerbières" (openings through which the hay was harvested).

To the east of the city, you will discover the typical architecture of tanneries which is still made of leather and parchment, who suffered the economic crisis, but now revived by artists and craftsmen . You can visit the museum of leather and parchment which traces the history and the various stages of manufacture.

Stroll in the gardens of the circuit that passes through the tanneries and take you to the lake before returning to the historic heart of the city to discover the monuments such as the collegiate church of Saint Sylvain, the door of Champagne or the "House of Wood".

City tour: Tours (historical monument), the ruins of the castle of the lords of Levroux, the first building was constructed around 990; remarkable panoramic view of the city and the champagne Berry.

Fontaine Sainte Roden: According to legend, Roden left to follow her fiancé Corusculus Sylvain St and St. Sylvester to Gabatum. She converted to Christianity and mutilated face to escape his fiancé. Saint Sylvain heals his wounds and gave him her beauty. In the past, pilgrims came to pray at holy Levroux Roden.

Museum of leather and parchment: Discover the ancient craft of making leather and parchment. Today Levroux is one of the last centers of production of parchment and leather is designed for fashion houses around the world. You will also discover that Annie works on parchment in front of you. And leave with a bookmark of parchment inscribed with your initials! Open May to December. Monday: 10am to 12.30pm and from 15h to 18h, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 15h to 18h. Wednesday and Sunday: By appointment.
