Ideally situated in the heart of the Côte d'Amour in Guérande peninsula, Le Pouliguen reveals an authentic country to influence Bretonne, a city that has preserved its typical character and family.

From the 15th century, thanks to its étier, Le Pouliguen turns to a trade in salt and then to a fishing inshore and offshore. In the 19th century, the epic des Bains de Mer transformed it into the marina. Le Pouliguen then experienced a boom and quickly became a popular resort.

Le Pouliguen is a common destination of La Baule - Guerande Peninsula with: Assérac, Batz-sur-Mer, Guerande, La Baule, La Turballe, Le Croisic, Mesquer, Piriac-sur-Mer and Saint Pénestin Lyphard.

• Docks: the oldest part of the harbor, lined with beautiful old house, homes of the notables.
• The fine sandy beach. Since November 9, 2011, the Bay of La Baule (with Le Pouliguen and Pornichet) is part of the very select club of the most beautiful bays in the world.
• The Walk: platform extensions to the beach of Nau, former sandy hill, it is arranged in small wooden shacks offering souvenirs and refreshments to bathers. It became a popular place for walking.
• The Church of St. Nicolas: Built in 1860 and assigned to the cult in 1864.
• The City Hall Brécéan: Built in 1874, property of the counts of Pellan and Family Couessin. The building houses then the association of "Orphans of the armed forces" and the "children of the railway" in 1984 until its acquisition by the municipality of Pouliguen to become the Town Hall.
• The Chapel of Penchâteau: chapel called St. Anne, in fact dedicated to Saint-Julien, is listed on the inventory of historical monuments like the 15th century chapel.
