At the heart of a vast bay, the scene of the biggest tides in Europe, Le Mont-Saint-Michel was both a center of pilgrimage, abbey, fortress and prison??

"The Wonder of the West" is now a major tourist destination, world heritage of UNESCO. The medieval streets, ramparts and Abbey Millennium carry visitors in that story.

Le Mont-Saint-Michel in the middle of the bay, receives each year about 3.5 million visitors, pilgrims and tourists.

At the entrance of this medieval city, the old Corps de Garde des Bourgeois, facing the guns, houses the Office of Tourism. Passing the Boulevard Gate and then the King provided with a drawbridge, you experience the High Street with its museums, shops and houses from the 15th and 16th centuries (the passage of the drawbridge on the right also leads , the path of the walls).

The parish church, a small building from the 15th and 16th centuries is dedicated to St. Peter, patron saint of fishermen.

Finally, the ascent of the Grand Stairway is a prelude to the Wonder and the visit of the Abbey.

After admiring the Abbey, you can admire the incomparable beauty of the bay down the road to the entrance, or by choosing the walkway on your left, dotted with small gardens, which you also have access through the porch of Fanils .
