With nearly 9000 people called marinois (es), the city of Marin is the administrative capital of the south of Martinique. It is also a major medical center and shopping.
Le Marin asserts itself in the yachting and boating, which earned him ranked marine station in 1998. Its Tourist ranked second in Class December 13, 2011 reflects its commitment to quality service.
The city attracts an international clientele with quality sound equipment marina recognized as the largest in the Caribbean. A capacity of 750 berths and 100 mooring buoys for pleasure boaters and lovers of the sea, and a label "Blue Flag" awarded since 2006 which gives a position port environmentally .
