"One of the most beautiful villages in France": Lauzerte account since April 1990 among the villages classified as "most beautiful villages of France", villages selected for the quality of their heritage, their architecture and their environment. The acquisition of the label is the subject of a rigorous selection process. It is never final, constant efforts are required to retain the title.

"Stop on the Way of Saint Jacques de Compostela: Lauzerte, whose etymology means light, be informed, appears like a mirage pilgrims pacing the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela since Montcuq. • The Pilgrim's Garden:

• This novel traces the development history and the initiation of the pilgrimage route of St. Jacques de Compostela.

• Pontet the Gandilhon: Lauzerte distinguished herself during the Hundred Years War. A legend says that an old lady living in this place, on behalf of predestined Gandilhon (which saves), then it went about its daily business, was arrested by the enemy, who left the city in small groups.
