Situated on a hill Lauragais, the foothills of the trap, the common Laurac lies 17 km southeast of Castelnaudary.

• The church, originally Romanesque, which overlooks the village. It contains an altar of Carrara marble, and numerous tables of carved wood, including a Pieta.
